Nayeon Kim emigrated from Seoul, South Korea to Canada with her family at the age of eleven. She is currently enrolled in a double major program in Studio art and Art history at the University of Toronto. As an emerging performance artist, her works often explore factors that influence one’s shifting individual identity such as gender, social and cultural pressures. In July of 2010, her first group exhibition was held at Propeller centre for the visual arts in downtown Toronto.
