JAMES STEWART is an award-winning director, storyteller, artist, digital innovator and multi-platform visual designer whose work ranges from mobile to giant screen, and from viral to stereoscopic 3D museum installations. Through his production company, Geneva Film Co. in Toronto, Canada, James has created work using 3D, 4D, gesture control, stop-motion animation and immersive environments. James’ projects include 3D work for Samsung, Toyota, Lexus, Sprint and JCPenney; Ontario 4D, produced for the Ontario Pavilion at the Vancouver Olympics and two live 3D concert films of Montreux Jazz Festival. His 3D work on Werner Herzog’s Cave Of Forgotten Dreams won the Lumiere Award from the International 3D Society was called “the reinvention of the cinema medium”. In 2012, he produced the world’s first gesture-controlled 3D cinema experience for the US launch of the Samsung Galaxy S3. His new art film, Béatrice Coron’s Daily Battles – based on Coron’s papercut artwork - premiered at TED2013 and is currently playing at film festivals and museums worldwide. James’ 3D stop-motion short film Foxed! was theatrically released June 28, 2013. As a director and artist, James has been featured in Shots magazine, the Directors issue of SHOOT magazine, is a six-time speaker at Cannes Lions Festival of Creativity, and presented the TEDTalk Storytelling in the Next Dimension at TED2011. @jamesstewart3D
